Hi Bernard,
Sorry i have only just got my laptop back on line after restoring it to the factory settings.....So i have only just read your comment. It never ceases to amaze me how small the world is! Back in the early 90's i was involved on the LR and was a member of the small team who restored the Carrog Station...The LR is one of my fav's and i hope to go back soon.....Im relly looking forward to buying the 500mmF4 off you, it should be great fun, and i will certainly share my images with you in due course....All the best Jon.

Hi! Jon, I have been looking at your website with interest.
It appears that we have a number of common interests (other than age)
that we share. My back ground is as follows:
A Wrexham native now living in Abergele.
I have a 'Full Tech' in machineshop engineering, having input into the manufacture of a 'Flying Scotsman' at the local Technical College. I made the transmission rods.
My latest 'Engine' visit was to the Manchester Museum of Science, a week or so ago and was amazed at seeing the largest engine ever made in England. It was shipped out to South Africa and shipped back to the museum.
I worked at Deeside Broadhurst Llangollen, who's owner, Ted Broadhurst started the Llangollen railway. He also owned the local garage and bus service there. Llangollen was my home for 9 years.
My photographic interest is mainly in wild life, Birds, Flowers and Fauna having my first digital camera about 5 years ago. A Sony cybershot, 3.5 megapixels. (I am putting this into a charity shop very shortly)
I then bought my D80 which I still have and a D300. I am using the Nikon ED AF Nikkor 80-200mm 1:2.8 D Lens.
I am somewhat restricted in the weight I can carry. I have produced devices to help me with this, a converted golf trolley (motorised) and a modified kiddies pram which I made to be 15'' wide. I did not feel comfortable with either gadget. This is the main reason for the sale of my equipment.

I thank you for your purchase of my 300 lens and hope that you have many years of fun using it.

Hi Jon congratulations this realy is well deserved. You kept it quiet when I saw you at the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway in September.I only have one complaint about your WEB site, I seem to be spending so much time on it my Video editing is falling behind. I really do love your work. Look forward to seeing you at Blaenavon probably in another years time. ATB
